Established in 1995, primarily servicing the painting and infrastructure maintenance needs of the coal industry with particular emphasis on drag lines, the company quickly gained a reputation for superior customer service and the ability to perform. It specializes in providing both off-Shore and on-Shore protective coating solutions across a range of clients and industries, including mining, ports, sugar, roads and telecommunications.
Major mining operations where the company has had long term involvement include BHP Blackwater, BHP Peak Downs, BHP Norwich Park and BHP Saraji, G & S Engineering and Gregory. Services to these mines have been provided through a number of contractors including ABB, VoestAlpine, Abi Group, TSJV, Krupp, Theiss and Hitachi.
A commitment to quality excellence, health and safety and superior efficiencies, underpinned by a “can do “ attitude, has seen the company expand significantly over the past 10 years and continue to be a preferred supplier within its operating sectors.
Transcote Pty Ltd has successfully completed various maintenance shutdowns, incorporating both heavy industrial surface preparation and protective coating, as well as safety demarcation scope of works for various Corporations on many coal mines and coal loading facilities in the Bowen Basin Area, as well as various sugar mills throughout North Queensland. Typical examples of contracts include the full preparation and painting of Draglines, Wash plants and associated structures.
The company has a diverse range of skills and experience in the areas of high pressure water cleaning, abrasive blasting, protective coatings
application, tiling and consultancy to name a few. The company has been engaged on many major and minor projects as a subcontractor and has a total permanent staff of around 100.
The company management has over 100 years collective experience in the industry and can service client requirements through this dedicated team and it can also call in key staff from its two sister companies if required.
